if the track is attached properly to the sub-floor also helps for the floating wood edges to stay down and not bounce up and down every time you walk thru then cracking your molding few month down the road….you can always glue(liq.nail is ok,but wait 24h till strong) the track first and once dry,snap in the T as long as you keep it even;not for uneven gaps…video is good for easy way out but not proper installation.
If you glue the track with the T you might never be able to remove it in one piece again since the glue will bleed into the track and sides of the molding,but then why use the track?just fill up the channel with more glue and push down, it will hold it in place anyways…
the track is meant to be nailed on wood or screwed in with anchors on concrete and then snap in the molding and if you need to replace(wear and tear) it over the years then you just snap it of and reuse the same track…

Thanks for that intro. How else would I have known that the video was going to be four and a half minutes long?
If you look closely, the early part of this video shows concrete, than at about 1:00 shows wood subfloor, then switches back to concrete. Not that it matters. The video is clearly labeled as “glue down”.
My question is what KIND of “industrial adhesive”. The vid shows heavy duty liquid nails.
What it the depth of wood and tile is too far so the track/tang on the t-mould doesn’t bottom out? Do the sell different height center tangs on these t-moulds?

the freaking track needs to be fixed to the substrate, thats why it has holes in it you tool!
Great video! I did not fully understand the gluing process on concrete as explained by the flooring salesman. Now I know how to do the T-molding on concrete. Thanks for posting this helpful video.

the video clearly says for a glue down floor (in other words concrete.) that is why the track is used as shown.
Liquid Nails industrial is VERY good stuff that i have used for 15+ years with great results.
On concrete you can do either or. And that is the construction adhesive LN sells, NOT bath tub glue.. Talk about “nub”
ha u guys are nubs u need to screw in the track first and then snap the t-mold on to it and ur using liquid nail bath tub glue. can’t believe i install for u
